Systems - Micro Piles

noline

The Micro Pile is a hollow self-drilling and grouted steel hollow bar.

The Micro Pile acts as a 3-in-1 device. It is the drill rod, the conduit for the grout and the tendon. It provides strength in tension, compression and shear. The drill head permits simultaneous drilling, hammering and flushing. During drilling it is usual to flush through the aperture in the drill bit with air, water or a half strength cementitious grout mix.

When the design depth is reached a full strength grout is pumped to evacuate all other fluids and particles from the drill hole and form a pure OPC grout body around the Micro Pile.
